Global Natural History Day Is...

  • Fostering young people's enthusiasm for learning in the natural sciences.
  • Training young people to explore and innovate in the natural sciences.
  • Teaching youth to uphold the truth, to be calm and realistic, tough and rational.
  • Encouraging the emergence of outstanding young talents.

Students from across the globe complete GNHD Projects which are then judged on local, regional and national levels.  National Finalist will be invited on our 2019 Discovery Trip to Shanghai, China, July 18th – 26th 2019 to compete with other International finalists from around the world.  All International finalists pay for their own transportation to Shanghai.  GNHD covers all transportation, lodging and provides meals for participants during the Discovery Trip!

About

Kenneth E. Behring started Global Natural History Day as an extracurricular educational activity aimed at stimulating primary and secondary school student’s interest in the natural sciences and to improve their research, analytical and communication skills.

GNHD, sponsored by Behring Global Educational Foundation is a well-rounded program for elementary through high school students. Each year, participants select topics which are related to the theme of the year to conduct their own research projects. Participants can take the initiative to find primary sources, talk to scientists, curators, librarians, and utilize other sources they can think of. During the various competitions rounds, they will have opportunities to present (or perform) in front of judges who are well-respected professionals and experts from different backgrounds.
